Broham Retreat 2017 – Introducing Kevin DeVries

This is your personal invitation to join us this year as we make way to our new camp home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Join us as we gather at The Woodlands on beautiful Little Lake in the UP’s South Marquette County for this year’s retreat scheduled from Thursday August 17 concluding on Sunday August 20.

This is a weekend where we intentionally seek the voice and the face of our God in heaven through our faith in His Son Jesus Christ by the power of The Holy Spirit. We also have a lot of fun. We begin every day with a campfire Bible study with hot cinnamon rolls and coffee which is promptly followed by a home cooked hearty breakfast. Our cooks even use REAL eggs! After breakfast we will have swimming, boating, fishing, nature hikes, tours of the former KI Sawyer AFB and their static display of cold war era aircraft, agility contests, shooting events for the grown-ups, a climbing wall, and more. We will also have a regularly scheduled morning and afternoon sessions taught by our guest speaker Kevin.

We are also excited to introduce Kevin DeVries from Grace Explorations.  Kevin has traveled the world speaking on the issues of man and our brokenness and what it takes to ‘fix’ those issues. Kevin’s epic story of riches to rags to redemption will change your life. After climbing 5 of the 7 continental summits, skiing to the North Pole and searching for Noah’s Ark, as an intrepid explorer in the award winning film titled ‘Finding Noah’, Kevin endured divorce, bankruptcy, and loss of home in order to reach, what he calls the naked soul of man. In quiet desperation he climbed into ‘thin air’ where eternity’s weight thins time & heals trauma; where trails end and Truth begins. Join with us as Kevin guides us into this place unknown to any map except the heart. The greatest journey is within because the greatest discovery is, “Who finds you when you were looking for something else?” Kevin sought the Ark but, instead, found the face of God.
